Before The Innovative Dietitian, Director and Dietitian Fiona Clarke started Fiona Clarke 24/7 from her interest in health, studying many years in naturopathy, western herbal medicine and Aboriginal cultures and health. The Innovative Dietitian was created in 2016 providing innovative dietetic services to all peoples. With a team of 6 dietitians, we provide services using a holistic and person-centred approach. We are able to provide services to patients with Medicare, Department of Veteran Affairs, Elderly Care, Private Health, Work Rehabilitation services and participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
To become the most innovative and effective health and wellbeing team with the capability to help clients of all abilities reach their goals.
To empower people to a healthier lifestyle, one that will optimise their happiness, well-being and overall quality of life.
The Innovative Dietitian is dedicated to giving all people greater choice, control and freedom – empowering them to live life on their own terms.
The Innovative Dietitian provides services within a holistic person-centred approach. We operate within a philosophy of individual risk management which is based on supporting dignity of risk for each participant accessing services through us. We provide support based on the best interest of every participant, their family and support network to build capacity and independence for participants accessing our services.
Our support comes in one on one consultations so that we can work together in finding the best ways to improve life for the needs of our clients. The duration of consultations for our NDIS clients can be negotiated according to their plan, but on average consultations last around 60 minutes for assessments (for less complex). We identify barriers to services through our consultations with stakeholders, feedback processes and strategic planning and put systems in place to ensure these barriers are addressed.
We respect that we have a diverse community and strive to support all participants to access our support using a range of resources which are appropriate to each person’s needs. This includes but is not exclusive to culture, religion, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background, disability, age or developmental stage
